Rockwood School District Communications
Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 12:23AM Rockwood School District initially hired Boston Creative to design a strategic plan book. Since they were so happy with the result, they later asked us to redesign all of the district websites. Taking inspiration from the plan book design, we developed a template to accomodate over 34 websites in all. Emphasis was placed on usability and navigation to accomodate extensive and complex content that would need to be updated frequently. The cohesive design offered district-wide familiarity for staff, students and parents, while also allowing for each school to have it's own look. Custom Flash headers were also designed to enable each school site to further express it's mission and culture. All final production was handled in-house by the Rockwood Communications Department. We worked closely with the Rockwood team throughout the production process to ensure a smooth and timely launch.
We also extended the new design scheme to an interactive annual report built entirely in Flash, as well as a printed newsletter. Rockwood has embraced the new design scheme and continues to use it as a guide for their communications. While some clients engage Boston Creative for a comprehensive overhaul, Rockwood is a great example of how we can also make a big impact on a client's communications on a project basis.
