The Wilson School Centennial Capital Campaign

2013 will mark the centennial celebration of The Wilson School in Clayton, Missouri. Leading up to the centennial, Wilson has embarked upon a capital campaign to raise funds to make considerable physical improvements to their campus. They looked to Boston Creative to create a design scheme and communications for the campaign.

We first took the opportunity to refresh the school's logo. This effort focused on refining the current mark for more visual balance and impact (before and after versions are shown below). A wide range of campaign communications were also produced including printed and electronic event invitations, printed campaign books, stationery, a video, event signage, a new flag for the school, and website graphics. The campaign features vintage Wilson photos, architectural renderings of the planned improvements, and festive colors.

Clean typography. A user-friendly layout. Fresh colors. Generous white space. Cut paper illustrations. Rings around photos as if a paint cup was just sitting there moments ago. These are all perfect ingredients for busy moms looking for a fun summer learning adventure for their child.

The Wilson School Early Childhood Program Brochure

The Wilson School needed an admissions brochure for their early childhood program. It was important that the design of the book offered just the right amount of age-appropriate playfulness balanced with content that reflected the high quality academic experience at Wilson.

The ABC's and lined handwriting paper design theme offer just the right amount of cuteness, while the color palette and fonts complement other Wilson brand communications. Kudos to our client for having the courage to let us tint the photos, which really gives this piece a sense of style.

Bold colors and clean design provide visual impact for Wilson's admissions communications. Keywords from the mission statement hint at the Wilson experience, while an emphasis on the founding year 1913 leverages the shool’s heritage.
